ISTD: Stellæ Variabilis

‘Stellæ Variabilis’ is a project that responds to the brief, ‘ Variability and Typographic Voice’, with the goal to promote and bring awareness to the potential of variable fonts through other means of variability. The aim of the project was to bring awareness to the reader of the importance of variable stars* play behind the scenes in providing information about the stars as variable fonts play in fluid digital design solutions. Intended primarily for those with an interest in astronomy but also for anyone who wants to learn something new.

This publication was my 2019 submission for the International Society of Typographic Designers and was awarded membership.
